Group Director Business Excellence & Continuous Improvement Gerresheimer
After her studies and degrees in business administration in Dresden, Germany, and Arnheim, the Netherlands, Katja Schnitzler started her career as Assistant Manager with KPMG in Dresden and Düsseldorf in 2004 to 2008. From 2008 until 2011 she was a Corporate Auditor at Gerresheimer AG in Düsseldorf. Since July 2011, she is globally responsible for business excellence and the related program at Gerresheimer reporting directly to the CEO. In her current role as Group Director of Business Excellence & Continuous Improvement she is responsible for the strategic design and constant development of the global lean transformation program (GMS - Gerresheimer Management System) for the the over 40 plants worldwide. In this role, Katja is partner and coach for board members and senior leaders and responsible for: definition and development of global standards and implementation guidance, capability building through global training concepts for all organizational levels, global maturity assessment system, progression roadmaps, best practice sharing, events, networking and communication.
For Katja, lean and continuous improvement is not just a collection of methods and tools that can be used to quickly generate cost-savings. For her, it is a mid and long-term investment in a cultural transition and the buildup of capabilities that puts the people in the heart of all activities.
She is absolutely convinced that the right balance of investing in capabilities and culture will help to establish a sound basis for progression, resulting in great performance today and tomorrow.
